And it may hold critical DNA evidence.
It’s been nine days since Kim Kardashian West was robbed at gunpoint in her hotel room in Paris, and even though the robbers have not yet been found, police are now one step closer to arresting them thanks to a key piece of jewellery that was found in front of the hotel.
According to TMZ, a platinum-mounted diamond cross made by Jacob and Co. was handed in to police the day after the incident by a passerby who stumbled upon the exxy bling sitting in a crack in the sidewalk. The cross is reportedly worth a whopping $33,180.
While it’s actually one of the cheaper pieces stolen, especially compared to Kardashian’s $4 million engagement ring that was taken, it may be incredibly valuable to police, who are hoping to find DNA traces on the pendant, which will hopefully lead them to the thieves.

This new break in the case, along with CCTV footage from a shoe store across the street from the hotel where the reality star was attacked showing a limousine loitering in the area before and after the robbery, are all the police are relying on at the moment in the hunt for the five masked men who broke into Kardashian’s residence last week.
Since the horrifying attack, the 35 year-old has been hiding from press, most recently spotted shrouded in baggy clothes making a beeline for her car with a heavy level of security in New York last week, and has even stopped posting on social media.

While it’s understandably not one of her priorities to share her life with the rest of the world at the moment, her social media hiatus is already proving extremely costly, with experts estimating the media personality could miss out on over $1 million every month, usually earned from her posts on Snapchat, Twitter, and Instagram – and that doesn’t even include any of her sponsored posts.
The 35 year-old has also halted filming for her hit show, Keeping Up With The Kardashians since the incident, for which she reportedly signed a four-year contract in 2015, worth a cool $15 million. Breaking this deal could be very expensive for the star, and the rest of the Kardashians.
The Kardashian West family is clearly shaken by the robbery, making the many victim-blaming comments on the internet in relation to her ordeal even more disturbing and inappropriate.
Whatever the outcome with Kardashian’s career, we hope the A-list fam will feel safe again soon.
